I’m a self-taught creative and professional coach who believes in the magic of process over perfection.

Art found me first – or maybe I found it – in the quiet moments where watercolours taught me more than any textbook ever could. They taught me to plan… but also to let go. To adapt. To respond rather than control. Painting isn’t about the perfect piece for me; it’s about the movement, the moment, and the joy tucked inside every brushstroke. The final result? That’s secondary. Honestly, as a self-taught artist in a world full of stunning, curated creations, my inner critic still pipes up with the ol’ “not good enough” tune. But I keep showing up. I keep creating. Because that’s where my freedom lives.

In 2017, I stepped into the corporate world—and stumbled right into coaching. And just like that, a spark was lit. Coaching clicked with something deep in me. It aligned with how I see people: whole, capable, ever-evolving. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to learn, grow, and share this work. I’m a member of the ICF, working toward my ACC accreditation, and currently serve as a Strategic Coaching Program Leader—designing programs, building experiences, and guiding other coaches through their own development journeys.

Now, I’m blending both parts of me—coach and creative—to hold space for others. Whether it’s through conversation or creative exploration, my work is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep belief in the beauty of becoming. I’m not here to “fix” anyone. I’m here to walk alongside, ask better questions, and maybe hand you a paintbrush when words aren’t enough.

Let’s explore what’s possible—together.

Hi, I’m aoife hughes.

My Approach

I believe that powerful growth happens when we feel seen, heard, and safe enough to explore. My coaching is rooted in presence, curiosity, and partnership—I’m not here to give advice or fix you. I’m here to walk beside you, ask better questions, and hold space for the messy, real, in-progress parts of your journey.

You can expect a blend of challenge and compassion, structure and spaciousness. I bring my full self—coach, creative, human—and invite you to do the same. We’ll tune in, get honest, and figure out what’s getting in your way (and what’s ready to shift).

I often draw on creative practices to help move stuck thinking and spark insight. Whether it’s journaling, visual mapping, or simply noticing patterns, I believe creativity opens the door to possibility.

Growth isn’t linear—and that’s the beauty of it. Let’s get curious together.
